Our experiences, skills, knowledge and expertise are in organizational development, program management and administrative support, training and technical assistance, communication, outreach and product development, event planning, conference management, and logistical support.
Karla Jones, MBA
Vice President of Operations
Karla is the head of human resources and administrative operations for the firm. She has been with HGJA for 15 years and works from its Chicago location. Like her fellow HGJA leaders, Karla’s expertise also lies in the sectors of early childhood, education, health & human services, community based, corporate, and government throughout the U.S. Before joining the firm, Karla worked for a Fortune 500 company as part of its HR team, supporting the Southeast region in Atlanta, GA. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, as well as a Master of Business Administration. Karla’s favorite pastimes include traveling, reading, and spending time with her two children.
Deyanira ‘Dee’ Alvarado, MHS
Vice President of Business Services
Deyanira leads overall business and professional services for the firm. She has more than 20 years of experience in the sectors of early childhood, education, health & human services, community-based, corporate, and government. Her areas of expertise include behavioral management, diversity, systemic leadership and management development coaching, mentoring, project management, and systemic organizational and human development. Additionally, she is a trusted keynote speaker, panelist, and consultant for various corporate entities, non-profit organizations, school systems, government entities, and state municipalities both in the U.S. and abroad. Deyanira is actively involved in several community service organizations and provides in-kind services for many non-profit organizations.
Henry Jones, MPA
President and CEO
With more than 25 years of experience in the sectors of early childhood, education, health & human services, community-based, corporate, and government, Henry leads the overall administration and strategic direction of the firm. Before establishing HGJA, Henry worked for non-profit and governmental organizations at the local, state, and federal level to support policy planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of professional services meant to improve the lives of children and families living in poverty. Henry earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice, as well as a Master of Science in Public Administration. His favorite pastimes include traveling, listening to jazz, and spending time with close friends and family.
